Back in the 1940's and 50's, it was very difficult for farmers and ranchers to get insurance. So to solve the problem, members of Colorado Farm Bureau got together, and decided to create an insurance company. Colorado Farm Bureau Mutual Casualty Company was established in 1950 as a sponsorship of Colorado Farm Bureau.
Today, just 60 years later, Farm Bureau® Insurance, as it is known today, has grown into a full service provider of insurance products and services. From humble beginnings, we have become a great service and benefit to the great members and supporters of Colorado Farm Bureau, a company dedicated to the mission of protecting the agricultural rights that affect all of Colorado.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT As member organizations, Farm Bureau Insurance Companies have their heritage, culture, and value system rooted in agriculture and the ideal of Farm Bureau service to its members. Accordingly, Colorado Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Co. will strive to serve the members of Farm Bureau in the state of Colorado with the following foundational values in mind:
